The Gin Guide Awards 2023 – We’re a Double Winner!

After more than twenty years creating spirits and liqueurs, the Sloemotion Distillery team still gets very excited when we win an award - especially when it’s two in the same competition! It’s like a pat on the back for all our hard work.

We’re very proud of our Sloe Gin & Elderberry for being a Winner in the Sloe Gin Awards category. Our Sloe Gin & Elderberry was released in 2021; it uses two of the very best Hedgerow heroes; whole, handpicked sloe berries and elderberries. This is the perfect combination of velvety and fruity - a real treat to enjoy with family and friends throughout the year. Warming, velvety and dry it can be served neat, or is a delightfully fruity tipple on ice. It’s also amazing when added to a glass of Prosecco!

We also received the Environmental Sustainability Award for the second year in a row.

“Awarded to the producers that have most successfully shown ongoing commitment to achieving their environmental sustainability objectives across multiple initiatives, with innovative solutions, proven impact and an embedded and measured culture of sustainability.” The Gin Guide

Here on Green Farm, we are constantly looking for ways to better monitor and examine our impact, both positive and negative, on the environment. Since our conception in 2002, care for the environment has been at the heart of everything we do. The origins of the business and the background of Joff Curtoys, one of the founding partners, as conservationist and ecologist, means that minimising our impact on the environment (and enhancing it, if possible) has always been a central consideration in the development of the business. For more information, here’s our Environmental, Social & Governance Report where we explain in more detail what we do and what changes we will be making to continue our work protecting this wonderful world in which we live and work.
